Job summary

VB+E PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an early to mid-career civil/structural engineer to design and analyse building projects, coordinate with teams, and support AI/BIM-driven workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.

You will collaborate with clients and consultants, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to digital engineering capabilities while applying local codes and authority submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent recognized by relevant body.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building design.
• Good understanding of local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Proficiency in engineering design software, automation and BIM tools.

Job Summary

Perform civil and structural design and analysis, coordination, authority submissions and AI/BIM-related tasks to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient engineering solutions for building projects.

What You'll Do

• Prepare civil and structural designs that meet project requirements, structural safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Explore and implement AI-driven workflows across structural design, analysis, documentation, coordination and adopt digital tools to improve engineering processes and reduce repetitive work.
• Participate in AI/BIM workflows to improve design coordination, accuracy, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Work closely with internal teams and external consultants to develop advance yet practical design solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate and monitor authority submissions to support timely approvals and smooth project delivery.
• Conduct design reviews and site inspections to verify quality, compliance, and alignment with design intent.
• Prepare engineering design reports, technical documentation, and project records to support compliance and delivery.
• Liaise with project teams during implementation to maintain high design quality.
• Support and identify opportunities to transform conventional design workflows into smarter, data-driven, and technology-enabled processes during preparation and review of design calculations, technical specifications, reports, and project deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the development of future digital engineering capabilities.

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent recognised by PEB; relevant diploma holders with design experience may also be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building design.
• Good understanding of local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Proficiency in engineering design software, automation and BIM tools.
• Motivated team player with a strong interest in learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Competencies

• Experience in composite, precast concrete, or steel design will be an advantage.
• Proactive, responsible, and keen to upskill in a collaborative, future-focused engineering environment.
