Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support CIM and manufacturing systems. The role focuses on high availability, performance monitoring, and efficient incident response within a shift-based support model.

You will handle backups with RMAN, perform tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM and SQL Advisor, and collaborate with data teams to optimize data flow between Oracle and big data platforms. Strong scripting experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments.
• Experience managing L1 and L2 DBA tasks (incident handling, monitoring, performance tuning).
• Strong knowledge of RMAN, AWR/ASH/ADDM, SQL tuning and Oracle performance optimisation techniques.
• Practical experience with expdp/impdp, partitioning, advanced compression, LOBs and related Oracle features.

Responsibilities

• Act as Oracle DBA for CIM and related manufacturing systems, ensuring high availability.
• Perform database monitoring, session management, lock analysis, and long-running query handling.
• Manage L1 and L2 DBA tasks including incident handling and root cause analysis.
• Perform backup and recovery using RMAN, including cloning/duplication of databases.
• Collaborate with big data teams to integrate Oracle with Hadoop/Greenplum platforms.
