Job summary

Merquri is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to manage production databases and contribute to infrastructure, architecture, and new projects. You’ll work with Oracle technologies across Linux and AWS environments, supporting a 24/7 production footprint.

You’ll design schemas, tune SQL/PL/SQL, manage backups and patching, and monitor health and performance while participating in on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Oracle database administration or development experience.
• Experience in database infrastructure and architecture design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS for Oracle.
• Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Strong proficiency in writing and executing efficient Oracle PL/SQL.
• Proven experience in database optimisation, SQL tuning, and performance tuning.
• Solid knowledge of backup and recovery, tablespace management, database monitoring, and schema management.
• Experience configuring and supporting Oracle 11g/12c databases on Linux.
• Strong Oracle troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide on-call, after-hours, or weekend support when required.
