Job summary

BACHY SOLETANCHE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned maintenance supervisor to oversee daily site maintenance of heavy construction equipment in Singapore.

You will lead mechanics and technicians, diagnose faults, and ensure safe, efficient operation in challenging site conditions. The role requires extensive experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance, strong leadership, and expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 30 years of experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance.
• Proven supervisory experience, preferably as a Chief Mechanic or Senior Foreman (E&M).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience supporting diaphragm wall, piling, geotechnical, or underground construction projects will be an advantage.

Job description

Job Duties:

• Manage and supervise daily site maintenance activities.
• Lead a team of mechanics and technicians in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance works.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system faults.
• Ensure construction plant and equipment are operating safely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime.
• Coordinate spare parts planning, inventory control, and procurement.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and maintenance personnel.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 30 years of experience in heavy construction equipment maintenance.
• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline preferred.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably as a Chief Mechanic or Senior Foreman (E&M).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience supporting diaphragm wall, piling, geotechnical, or underground construction projects will be an advantage.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently under site conditions.
• Good leadership, planning, and team management skills.
