Job summary

The Garcha Group is seeking an experienced engineering and maintenance professional in Singapore to oversee property upkeep across Maxwell Reserve, The Vagabond Club, and The Serangoon House. You will manage M&E systems, supervise technicians, coordinate repairs, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in hospitality engineering, strong English communication, and a professional qualification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel maintenance and engineering.
• Strong leadership and coordination of technical teams.
• Experience with M&E systems and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain hotel and home properties for aesthetics and safety.
• Troubleshoot and fix HVAC, plumbing, humidity, M&E issues, and coordinate contractors.
• Inspect structures and plan repairs, renewals, and refurbishments as needed.
• Obtain competitive quotations and monitor utilities to minimize costs.
• Supervise engineering staff and external contractors; roster across properties.
• Be on call 24/7 for emergencies and flexible to work at any property.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review all hotels, and homes under The Garcha Group with an aesthetic eye for detail.
• Be well-organized and able to be hands‑on to trouble‑shoot and fix issues related air conditioning (Daiken VRV), plumbing, humidity related issues, all M&E issues, service provider management, and optimize efficiency while reducing operating costs.
• The goal is to ensure our accommodations is problem-free;
• Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
• Inspecting buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs;
• Trouble‑shoot, plan and coordinate all installations and repairs of (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments;
• Hands‑on as well as manage the upkeep of buildings, equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
• Inspect buildings' structures to determine and implement the need for repairs;
• Obtain comparative quotations;
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs;
• Supervise engineering staff (technicians) and external contractors;
• Rostering engineering team across all properties.
• Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.;
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts;
• Maintaining licenses that are engineering related for the properties.
• Keep financial and non-financial records;
• Maintain all trackers (warranty, RPM, CAPEX, etc.)
• Any other jobs as requested by management.
• To be on call 24/7 for any emergencies.
• Flexibility to work in any of The Garcha Group properties.
• Any other duties/tasks as requested by management.

Other Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NITEC or equivalent qualification in any field.
• Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the hospitality industry.
