Job summary

The Garcha Group, Singapore’s boutique hotel operator, is seeking a proactive facilities professional to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining guest-ready environments across our hotels, troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing and M&E systems, and coordinating repairs with service providers.

You will work hands-on as well as supervise contractors, ensuring health and safety standards are met and costs are kept under control across multiple properties in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance and M&E management.
• Hands-on approach to installations and repairs.
• Ability to obtain quotations and supervise contractors.
• Strong organizational skills and cost-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review facilities with an aesthetic eye for detail.
• Troubleshoot and fix air conditioning, plumbing, humidity and M&E issues; manage service providers.
• Maintain health and safety standards; manage upkeep of equipment and supplies.
• Inspect buildings and determine need for repairs; obtain quotations.
• Supervise staff and external contractors; control waste disposal and security.
• Maintain records and trackers; perform any other duties requested by management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review all facilities with an aesthetic eye for detail;
• Be well-organized and able to be hands- on to trouble- shoot and fix issues related air conditioning (Daiken VRV), plumbing, humidity related issues, all M&E issues, service provider management, and optimize efficiency while reducing operating costs.
• \"Can-do\" attitude with resourcefulness and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.
• The goal is to ensure our accommodations is problem-free.
• Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
• Trouble- shoot, plan and coordinate all installations and repairs of (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments;
• Hands- on as well as manage the upkeep of buildings, equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine and implement the need for repairs;
• Obtain comparative quotations;
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs;
• Supervise foreign staff facilities staff (handy-men) and external contractors;
• Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.;
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts;
• Keep financial and non-financial records;
• Maintain all trackers.
• Any other duties/tasks as requested by management.
