Job summary

The Garcha Group is seeking a skilled Facilities/Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance across its Singapore properties. You will lead maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and M&E systems, coordinate repairs, manage contractors, and ensure health and safety compliance.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, strong vendor management, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies across all properties.

Qualifications

• Professional certificate/NITEC or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Review hotels and homes with an eye for detail.
• Troubleshoot M&E issues and manage service providers.
• Coordinate installations, repairs and refurbishments across properties.
• Rostering engineering team across all properties.
• Maintain licenses, records and health & safety standards.
• Be on call 24/7 for emergencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review all hotels, and homes under The Garcha Group with an aesthetic eye for detail.
• Be well-organized and able to be hands-on to trouble-shoot and fix issues related air conditioning (Daiken VRV), plumbing, humidity related issues, all M&E issues, service provider management, and optimize efficiency while reducing operating costs.
• The goal is to ensure our accommodations is problem-free;
• Managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
• Inspecting buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs;
• Trouble-shoot, plan and coordinate all installations and repairs of (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments;
• Hands-on as well as manage the upkeep of buildings, equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards;
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine and implement the need for repairs;
• Obtain comparative quotations;
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs;
• Supervise engineering staff(technicians) and external contractors;
• Rostering engineering team across all properties.
• Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.;
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts;
• Maintaining licenses that are engineering related for the properties.
• Keep financial and non-financial records;
• Maintain all trackers (warranty, RPM, CAPEX, etc.)
• Any other jobs as requested by management.
• To be on call 24/7 for any emergencies.
• Flexibility to work in any of The Garcha Group properties.
• Any other duties/tasks as requested by management.

Other Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NITEC or equivalent qualification in any field.

Proficient in spoken and written English to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the hospitality industry.
