Job description

• Responsible to protect the company, its affiliates, and customers from any damage that might result from the failure to comply with regulatory obligations and assist the Executive Management in monitoring and mitigating compliance risks in line with the risk tolerance of the company;
• Ensure that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal and internal rules and also review employees’ work and provide advice on compliance;
• Serve as Point of Contact for Singapore's regulatory authorities. Establish a well communication mechanism with relevant regulator;
• Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program;
• Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them;
• Draft and revise company policies;
• Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses;
• Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk;
• Collaborate with external auditors or regulator when needed;
• Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation;
• Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices;
• Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals;
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory reports to the relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience of at least 10 years as a Senior Compliance Officer in banking, accounting, e-commerce platform, payment company, etc.;
• In addition to English proficiency, working proficiency in Mandarin required as the role involves coordinating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and teams.
• Familiar with risk management and industry's standards.
• Knowledge of Singapore's legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering/KYC, PSN01, Payment Services Act)
• Excellent communication skills and integrity and professional ethics
• BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field
• Professional certification (e.g. Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) is a plus.
