Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is recruiting for a laboratory technician on Jurong Island. You will perform laboratory testing on in-process samples using approved instruments, prepare reagents, and promptly report results to Production Supervisors and the QC team.

The role requires 3 years of field and basic laboratory experience and involves a 12-hour rotating shift. The company provides basic welfare, career progression, and transport from select areas.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analyze in-process samplesusing approved instruments and equipment.
• Prepare chemical reagents as required for testing.
• Communicate test results promptly to the Production Supervisor and QC team, especially when abnormalities are detected, to ensure timely corrective action.
• Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials (e.g., Methanol, NaOH, Catalyst, VAM, Acetic Acid) and advise the Supervisor on material acceptance.
• Perform daily equipment validation, including analytical balance checks, pH meter calibration, buffer verification, and KF standardization. Run control samples to confirm equipment performance.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting, minor maintenance, and gas cylinder replacement when required.
• Report maintenance requirements to Supervisors and QC team members.
• Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of laboratory equipment.
• Prepare laboratory equipment for maintenance and ensure all energy sources are safely isolated.
• Participate in emergency response drills and safety activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Comply with all departmental Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or QC personnel.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• GCE 'N', 'O' level / Nitec / Diploma in Chemical Process / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 3 years' experience in field and basic lab experience
• Able to perform 12-hr rotating shift
