Job summary

MNC Company on Jurong Island, Singapore, seeks a hands-on technician to support process operations.

You will perform maintenance, checks, start-up/shutdown on pumps and compressors, and assist with filter changes and piping isolation for start-ups and troubleshooting. Transport is provided.

Qualifications

• 12-hour rotating shift capability.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Qualification: Nitec or Diploma in Chemical Process, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance.
• Performing checks, start-up and shutdown operations on process equipment such as pumps and compressors.
• Carry out filter changes.
• Isolating piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change and troubleshooting operations.
• Adjusting process parameters to optimize process operations under supervision of Supervisors.
• Commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment.
• Performing emergency shutdown of process equipment.
• Proper handing and blending of non-conforming and off specs products.
• Preparing plant equipment for maintenance.
• Preparing chemicals, including mixing and dilution, for process operations.
• Performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products based on established quality procedures.
• Performing emergency response activities and drills.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
