Job summary

ANRADUS PTE. LTD. in Singapore's Tuas area is seeking a Chemical Engineering Technician to support daily plant operations, including sludge pit and weighbridge activities, on rotating 12-hour shifts.

You will monitor utilities like PNG, caustic soda, water, electricity, and lime to boost efficiency, maintain hopper levels, and coordinate crane operations when needed. The role includes assisting in maintenance, basic troubleshooting, regular plant patrols, ensuring EHS compliance, and upholding

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or plant operations preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and be on site.
• Familiarity with EHS policies.

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant operations including sludge pit and weighbridge.
• Monitor utility consumption to improve efficiency (PNG, caustic soda, water, electricity, lime).
• Maintain hopper levels and coordinate crane operations when necessary.
• Inspect sludge drying and regulate feed rates to control temperatures and PNG usage.
• Ensure pumps are operational and perform basic maintenance.
• Assist during plant maintenance shutdowns.
• Conduct regular plant patrols and report abnormalities promptly.
• Strictly follow EHS policies and maintain high housekeeping standards.

• Working Hours: Rotating 12-hrs Shift (8am - 8pm/ 8pm - 8am)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + Shift Allowances + OT + AWS + Sign-On Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Supervisor in daily plant operations, including sludge pit and weighbridge activities.
• Assist in maximizing the safe and efficient treatment capacity of DWS and DS.
• Monitor and control the consumption of utilities such as PNG, caustic soda, fresh water, electricity, and lime to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor DWS and DS hopper levels regularly to prevent unnecessary plant shutdowns and coordinate with crane operators when hopper levels are low.
• Inspect the condition of dried sludge in the field every two hours and regulate DWS and DS feed rates to maintain the required incinerator and sludge dryer outlet temperatures while minimizing PNG consumption.
• Ensure sludge transfer pumps remain operational and are maintained in good working condition.
• Provide support during scheduled plant maintenance shutdowns.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and take appropriate corrective actions when required.
• Conduct regular plant patrols, identify operational abnormalities, and promptly report findings to the relevant personnel.
• Strictly comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulations established by the plant.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the plant area.
