Job summary

COIM Asia Pacific Pte Ltd on Jurong Island, Singapore, is looking for a hands-on Operations Technician to operate batch processes and reactors in accordance with SOPs. You will charge raw materials, perform drumming, and ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained.

You should be an ITE certificate or Diploma holder in engineering, with strong teamwork and communication skills, and be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Prior process industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ITE Certificate or Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil & Gas) or related field.
• Experience in chemical or process industry preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to perform manual operations in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts on Jurong Island.

Responsibilities

• Operate batch processes according to SOPs, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Perform equipment line-ups and operate reactors per protocols.
• Manually charge raw materials and chemicals into reactors as required.
• Perform drumming operations as per process requirements.
• Identify and report process, equipment, or environmental abnormalities; participate in investigations when required.
• Adhere to SHEQ and GMP guidelines.
• Perform scheduled housekeeping to maintain a safe workplace.
• Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
• Serve as a member of the CERT.

Job description

• Operate batch processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Perform equipment line-ups and operate reactors in accordance with established protocols.
• Manually charge raw materials and chemicals into reactors as required.
• Perform drumming operations as per process requirements.
• Identify and report any process, equipment, or environmental abnormalities, incidents, or near-misses. Participate in incident investigations when required.
• Adhere to all company policies, including Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensure proper handover and communication during shift changes.
• Serve as a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).

Requirements

• ITE Certificate or Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil & Gas), or a related field.
• Prior experience in the chemical or process industry is preferred.
• Strong team player with effective communication skills.
