Job summary

Salling Search Pte. Ltd. is recruiting a Chemical Tanker Operator based in Singapore to manage the day-to-day shore-based operations of chemical tanker vessels, coordinating voyages and port calls.

You will liaise with vessel masters, port agents, terminals and charterers to ensure smooth cargo operations, monitor vessel positions and cargo activities, and maintain accurate records for management. This role requires coordinating with internal teams and ensuring HSSEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of shore-based chemical tanker operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate shore-based operations for chemical tanker vessels, including voyage planning and execution.
• Handle vessels trading with multiple cargo parcels (approximately 11 to 12 parcels per voyage) across multiple discharge ports.
• Liaise with vessel masters, port agents, terminals, and charterers to ensure smooth cargo operations.
• Monitor vessel positions, port calls, and cargo activities, proactively resolving operational issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with internal teams including chartering, commercial, and accounts on operational matters.
• Review and manage operational documentation including Bills of Lading, cargo manifests, and port documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and HSSEQ standards applicable to chemical tanker operations.
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely operational updates to management.

Salling Search is currently recruiting for a Chemical Tanker Operator for a chemical tanker shipping company based in Singapore.

Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day shore-based operations of chemical tanker vessels, coordinating multi‑parcel voyages across multiple discharge ports.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of shore‑based chemical tanker operator experience
• Candidates with prior seagoing experience in the chemical tanker sector are preferred, though this is not a mandatory requirement
• Strong understanding of chemical tanker operations, multi‑parcel cargo handling, and multi‑port discharge coordination
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment
• Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
