Job summary

INTUIT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is assisting a client in the Environmental Services sector to recruit a Chemical Process Engineer for their Tuas facility in Singapore. The role is permanent, with standard Mon–Fri hours from 8am to 5pm.

The successful candidate will analyse and optimise plant processes, monitor performance, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives, with a salary package up to SGD 4,500 plus transport allowance and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of experience in a process plant or chemical operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, evaluate, and improve plant processes for efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Monitor process performance and support digital process monitoring systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose improvements to processes and safety.
• Develop, implement, and document operating procedures and processes.
• Support plant operations, maintenance, and process troubleshooting.
• Participate in process safety initiatives and risk studies.
• Coordinate process improvement projects and plant shutdowns.
• Ensure projects meet timelines and budgets.

Employment Type: Permanent

Position: Chemical Process Engineer

Location: Tuas (Transport provided)

Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm

Salary Package: Up to $4,500 + Transport Allowance* + Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyse, evaluate, and improve plant processes to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Monitor process performance, interpret operational data, and support digital process monitoring systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend process improvements.
• Develop, implement, and optimise operating procedures and process documentation.
• Support plant operations, maintenance activities, and process troubleshooting.
• Participate in process safety initiatives, including risk studies and safety management activities.
• Coordinate process improvement projects, plant shutdown planning, and implementation of new operational procedures.
• Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budgets.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 2 years of experience in a process plant, chemical manufacturing, or industrial operations environment. Knowledge of process optimisation, safety management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
