Job summary

SOMETHING ABOUT MERRY PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliable kitchen team member to support the Sous Chef and Senior Chef de Parties in daily operations.

You will prepare daily food items, ensure quality, maintain hygiene and safety, and coordinate with team to keep smooth kitchen workflows. The role requires punctuality, strong communication, resilience under pressure, weekend/public holiday availability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Job description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be punctual and presentable at all times
• Report to and support the Sous Chef / Senior Chef de Parties in their duties in running the kitchen
• Prepare daily food items and complete assigned duties to meet company quality standards
• Ensure compliance with all legally required hygiene and safety practices and maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and related areas
• Coordinate daily tasks effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations
• Assist in supervising line cooks as needed to maintain workflow and quality
• Estimate daily production needs and inspect raw and cooked food products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain high quality in food production, preparation, and presentation according to SOP
• Monitor guest satisfaction, food quality, operational efficiency, and food costs continuously
• Apply knowledge of standard procedures and policies for food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation
• Maintain full awareness of menu items, including recipes, production methods, and presentation standards
• Follow proper food preservation standards to handle all food products at correct temperatures
• Check expiry dates and ensure proper storage of food items within the assigned section
