Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Chartering & Operations Executive (Tanker) in Singapore to optimize tanker fleet usage and manage chartering operations. The role requires coordinating ship operations with timely communication to the Master in-charge, handling claims, and negotiating contracts with charterers and agents.

Candidates should have 2+ years in chartering/operations, and a degree in Business Admin/Commerce/Logistics or equivalent. Sailing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of chartering / operations / post fixture experience with shipowners, charterers or shipbrokers.
• Experience in commercial aspects of ship operations and management is preferred.
• Sailing experience will be advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring optimal utilization of the existing fleet of tankers.
• Coordinate on all ship operations as per time and spot charters and communicate closely with the Master in-charge to ensure the tanker operations are carried out smoothly.
• Be involved in claims matters and participate in negotiations of chartering contracts and prepare voyage performance for management reviews.
• Invite & obtain agencies' quotations from shipping agents before appointment
• Compare & negotiate on agency rates
• Monitor & liaise with agents on tanker movements
• Arrange pilot for Singapore inward, berthing, unberthing & outward passage
• Advise & monitor vessel's status of operation
• Prepare & instruct vessel for loading and discharging operations
• Report to charterers on the status of tanker operation
• Follow-up with customers on payment matters

Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. Currently they are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as \\"Chartering cum Operations Executive (Tanker)\\".

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :
