Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Chartering Manager to join its Singapore team. This role focuses on managing regional dry bulk vessel chartering activities across Asia, negotiating freight contracts, and supporting commercial and logistics teams.

You will leverage an established network with shipowners, brokers, and stakeholders, bringing a minimum of 5 years in dry bulk chartering and fluency in English and Mandarin to drive freight strategy and market intelligence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in dry bulk vessel chartering.
• Experience chartering Handysize, Supramax and Ultramax.
• Strong knowledge of freight markets, laytime, demurrage and voyage economics.
• Established network with shipowners, brokers and industry stakeholders in Asia.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

This is an opportunity for an experienced dry bulk chartering professional to play a key role in managing regional freight activities across Asia, supporting the movement of bulk commodities while working closely with commercial, logistics, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute dry bulk vessel chartering activities across Asia.
• Negotiate freight contracts and maintain relationships with vessel owners, brokers, and agents.
• Monitor freight markets and provide commercial freight guidance to trading and logistics teams.
• Coordinate cargo movements to ensure efficient and timely execution of shipments.
• Deliver market intelligence, freight reporting, and chartering strategies to support commercial objectives.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in dry bulk vessel chartering.
• Proven experience chartering Handysize, Supramax, and Ultramax vessels within the dry bulk sector.
• Strong understanding of freight markets, laytime calculations, demurrage, and voyage economics.
• Established network of shipowners, brokers, and industry stakeholders across the Asian dry bulk market.
• Experience handling commodities such as coal, iron ore, metals, alumina, bauxite, cement, clinker, limestone, gypsum, aggregates, fertilisers, steel products, grains, or other dry bulk cargoes.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential.
