Job summary

Lonza Bioscience Singapore Pte. Ltd. is recruiting for a Biotechnologist as part of its 15-month Career Conversion Program (CCP). Training is provided on-the-job to perform CGMP cell therapy production and to prepare final dose products in a clean room environment.

The role involves joining a team of up to 40 colleagues, working in CGMP facilities, and rotating through day, weekend and public holiday shifts (12 hours) after training.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in a related Science/ Engineering discipline
• Knowledge of cGMP applications
• Knowledge of cell culture and the principles of aseptic processing within a classified environment.
• Strong team oriented work ethic
• Positive team oriented attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to perform rotating 12-hour shift pattern
• Able to perform physical activities in a clean room environment (standing, manual work)

Responsibilities

• Complies with site/department EHS standards.
• Attains an understanding of CGMP compliance and clean room practices.
• Maintains in-operation production facilities and equipment; cleaning and sanitization, monitoring, sampling, pH and conductivity checks.
• prepares solutions and media; aseptic filtration into sterile containers.
• Revival and culturing of anchorage dependent cell lines.
• Harvest and concentration of cell cultures using tangential flow filtration or centrifugation.
• Final formulation and filling of vials; visual inspection and cryopreservation.
• Participation in aseptic process simulations.
• Accurate batch record documentation.
• Environmental monitoring (viable and non-viable particulates, surfaces).
• Formulation of media and aseptic filling of media bags and bottles.
