Job summary

Lonza seeks a Biotechnologist to join its Cell & Gene Therapy team in Singapore. You will perform cGMP manufacturing activities in aseptic and cleanroom environments, supporting production and documentation to ensure timely operations.

The candidate will hold a degree in biotechnology or life sciences and possess basic GMP knowledge, with readiness for a rotating 12-hour shift. This 12-month fixed term contract offers a dynamic, inclusive workplace and opportunities to grow within Lonza.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering or related discipline.
• Biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical processing, aseptic techniques or cleanroom operations is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of cGMP, quality, safety and data integrity principles.
• Ability to learn and work with electronic manufacturing and quality systems.
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment and on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Perform cGMP manufacturing activities using aseptic and cleanroom practices.
• Complete Batch Records, logbooks and GMP documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform environmental monitoring, equipment cleaning, sanitization and production support activities.
• Use electronic systems including DMS, LIMS and TrackWise.
• Review Batch Records and logbooks to support timely manufacturing operations.
• Identify and elevate deviations, equipment alarms and other non-routine events.
• Maintain training requirements and contribute to safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
