Job summary

Adyen Singapore is seeking a CDD Risk, Onboarding Team Lead to manage a regional team responsible for onboarding and risk assessments of merchants, ensuring compliance and smooth customer experiences. Based in Singapore, you will collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Compliance and Product teams.

You will drive KPI and SLA metrics, coach team members, and lead process improvements, scaling operations while balancing regulatory requirements and business growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of people management in CDD/KYC/EDD roles within fintech or financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of AML, CDD, EDD, KYC, PCI, and controls framework.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple operational tracks.
• Passion for talent development; experience coaching across junior to senior levels.
• Hands-on leader; able to review complex risk cases as SME.
• Cross-functional collaborator to streamline onboarding processes.
• Proactive; driven to improve processes and owner mindset.
• Self-starter in fast-paced environments; executes initiatives.
• Analytical; uses data to guide decisions and strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; English fluent; Asian languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for onboarding and risk assessments of new and existing merchants, ensuring compliance and handling escalations efficiently.
• Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs, SLAs and quality for timely, high-quality onboarding delivery.
• Manage performance through 1:1s, coaching, and reviews; support development and accountability.
• Drive a culture of quality and customer experience while balancing regulatory and commercial needs.
• Identify skill gaps and create structured development plans for growth and scalability.
• Lead process improvements; collaborate with Compliance, Product, Sales, and Account Management to improve ways of working.
• Use data to inform decisions, prioritize initiatives, and measure impact on efficiency and risk quality.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to share best practices and align while respecting regional nuances.
• Foster a motivated, engaged, and safe team environment with ownership and accountability.
