Job summary

DIRECTION OVERSEAS PTE. LTD. is recruiting a carpentry professional for commercial and residential projects in Singapore.

You will perform carpentry tasks, assemble and install frameworks, staircases, cabinetry, and related fixtures, and ensure work adheres to drawings and schedules. The role requires the ability to interpret blueprints, measure accurately, and maintain tools while complying with safety standards on-site.

Qualifications

• Carpentry tools and machinery proficiency required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks related to commercial and residential projects.
• Assemble and install frameworks, roofing, partitions, staircases, and cabinetry.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, or building plans.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as doors, windows, walls, floors, frames, and furniture.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as saws, hammers, drills, and chisels.
• Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using measuring tools.
• Ensure structures meet building codes and safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Work with other trades to complete construction projects.
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines.
• Comply with health and safety regulations on-site.
