Job summary

HF GENERAL CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform a range of carpentry tasks on construction sites in Singapore. You will read blueprints, measure materials, cut and shape lumber, and assemble structures and furniture to meet project specifications.

The role involves building frames, installing flooring and drywall, and ensuring safety and quality on site. Candidates should have proven carpentry experience and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter.
• Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials.
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and installation methods.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements.
• Measure and calculate the size and quantity of materials needed for each task.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials such as fiberglass according to measurements.
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw or pre-constructed materials.
• Lay out floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are level and properly aligned.
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, and shelves, and install them at designated locations.
• Inspect sites and perform repairs or maintenance as needed.
• Construct scaffolding and other temporary construction structures.
• Operate electrical and manual tools such as powered saws, hammers, and rulers safely and effectively.
• Follow safety guidelines consistently during all work activities.
• Work night shifts, Sundays, public holidays, and odd hours as required by customer demands.
• Maintain good physical condition and endurance to perform physically demanding tasks.
