Job summary

Chaucer Syndicates Ltd in Singapore seeks a Deputy Class Underwriter - Cargo to join a dynamic Marine underwriting team. You will review and rate new and renewal Cargo risks, monitor premiums, and contribute to risk analyses with the ASEAN/Asia focus.

Responsibilities include data capture in Charisma, reporting, and liaison with brokers. The role requires ACII progress or equivalent and at least 5 years in underwriting, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• ACII or equivalent is expected or in progress.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant underwriting experience.
• Degree or equivalent in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review new and renewal cargo risks, including slip and rating analyses.
• Assist PML analyses with modelling/aggregation teams and monitor renewals.
• Prepare reports and statistical information for underwriters.
• Collaborate with Marine Global team and brokers to develop opportunities.
• Capture policy data accurately in underwriting systems like Charisma.
