Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Executive/Executive, Marine Underwriting for a 3-month maternity cover. The role is based at Promenade / Suntec Area, with standard hours and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will review and prepare underwriting information, draft quotations, liaise with brokers, and support Marine Cargo portfolio management through daily processing, pricing reviews, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare new business and renewal underwriting information
• Prepare Marine Raters for discussion with the Team Leader / Head
• Underwrite simpler risks and support management of a profitable Marine Cargo portfolio
• Prepare quotation slips after finalisation with the underwriting team
• Review pricing and terms for new business and renewals within established underwriting guidelines
• Attend to mid‑term changes and enquiries for existing accounts
• Liaise with brokers and intermediaries on new quotations and renewals
• Follow up on outstanding underwriting information and documentation
• Provide accurate instructions to Policy Administration for policy processing
• Conduct required sanctions checks
• Review policies and broking slips for accuracy
• Maintain underwriting records, schedules and statistics
• Compile and analyse information for monthly meetings and business reviews
• Monitor portfolio performance and support loss-control activities
• Track and follow up on large claims where required
• Support evaluation and coordination of facultative reinsurance requirements
• Monitor Marine insurance market conditions, competitors and underwriting developments
