Job summary

SATS Ltd. in Singapore invites applications for a Training Instructor to lead cargo-handling courses, develop training materials and coordinate schedules.

You will conduct orientation for new hires, deliver classroom and practical training in Mandarin when required, and ensure high standards across our cargo operations. A Diploma with knowledge of airfreight procedures, strong supervisory and MS Office skills will fit well in our diverse, career-focused team.

Qualifications

  • Diploma with knowledge of airfreight operations and procedures.
  • Strong supervisory and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint to create training materials.
  • Confidence delivering classroom and practical training.
  • Mandarin ability to conduct training for Mandarin-speaking staff when needed.

Job description

You will be part of a team of instructors who will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Conduct Cargo-handling and other related courses;
  • Prepare and update training materials for Cargo training courses and other related services;
  • Prepare training schedules and coordinate administrative matters for new hires.
  • Conduct orientation programmes for new hires, as well as refresher and recurrent training.
  • Provide training support for new and existing projects or initiatives;
  • Coach and assess competencies for new hires during their On-Job-Training (OJT).
Requirements
  • Diploma qualification, preferably with knowledge of airfreight operations and procedures.
  • Possess good supervisory and communication skills
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills to develop effective training materials and presentations
  • Confident in delivering classroom and practical training.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to conduct training for Mandarin-speaking employees when operationally required.
