Job summary

The Salvation Army in Singapore is seeking a Healthcare Support professional to assist residents with daily meals, personal care, and mobility within Peacehaven Nursing Home.

You will report changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor, participate in programs, and help maintain cleanliness and infection-control standards. Working hours are 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 45-minute lunch break; accommodations and location at 9 Upper Changi Road North.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Healthcare Support / Nursing Care.

Responsibilities

• Nutrition: Serve food to residents at bedside or dining areas and report issues.
• Programmes: Assist in recreational and social programmes for residents' well‑being.
• Communication: Inform changes in behaviour and report on condition to Staff In-Charge.
• Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness of resident environments and infection control guidelines.
• Others: Undertake general duties as assigned by Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Nutrition

• Serve food to residents at bedside or dining areas as directed.
• Report any problems to Staff In-Charge.
• Collect dishes after meals for transport to dish room. Clean pantry dishes as required.

2. Programmes

• Assist in recreational and social programmes to promote physical assistance, emotional and social encouragement for residents involved.

3. Communication

• Inform any changes in behaviour or general conditions. Make general observations of residents' physical condition and report any changes or deterioration to the Staff In-Charge on duty.
• Verbally inform any accidents or other accidents.

4. Housekeeping

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of resident's environment including but not limited to tidiness of patient's beds, medical equipment such as wheelchair, lockers and laundry or linens.
• Maintain cleanliness of pantry.
• Distribute Residents' laundry or linens.
• Always abide by all infection control guidelines.

5. Others

• To undertake other general duties as assigned by Management.
