Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Capital Markets Specialist to support a large-scale documentation remediation and entity transition programme within the Private Bank. This role will be responsible for coordinating the re-papering, migration execution, and ongoing lifecycle management of Capital Markets documentation across a range of products, including Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, and Structured Products. The successful candidate will act as the central coordination point between external counterparties and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient execution of documentation activities, accurate management reporting, robust record-keeping, and timely resolution of issues. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with Capital Markets operations, documentation, contract management, or PMO experience to gain exposure to complex regulatory and business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate end-to-end documentation remediation and migration activities, including outreach, requirements gathering, document distribution, execution tracking, and project closure.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for external counterparties throughout the re-papering process, ensuring timely engagement and completion of documentation requirements.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while overseeing timelines, dependencies, action logs, milestones, and stakeholder deliverables.
  • Support documentation activities across a broad range of Capital Markets agreements and trading documentation, including ISDA, CSA, Electronic Trading Agreements, Custody Agreements, Novation Agreements, Structured Product Distribution Agreements, and related documentation.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, working sessions, and follow-up discussions with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain programme trackers, dashboards, management information reports, and status updates to ensure accurate monitoring of progress, ageing items, risks, and blockers.
  • Ensure proper version control and maintain accurate records within contract repositories and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.
  • Review and summarize counterparty mark-ups and redlines, identifying deviations from approved templates and escalation requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Legal, Compliance, Credit Risk, Operations, Front Office, and other control functions to facilitate review, approval, and execution processes.
  • Track outstanding issues, approvals, and decisions, ensuring clear ownership and timely resolution.
  • Proactively identify project risks, bottlenecks, and delays, escalating issues through established governance channels where required.
  • Support post-execution activities, including amendments, side letters, onboarding documentation, renewals, novations, and terminations.
  • Ensure all documentation, approvals, correspondence, and execution records are maintained in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, Law, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets Operations, Documentation, Contract Management, Legal Documentation, PMO, Client Lifecycle Management, or Regulatory Remediation programmes within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Experience working with Capital Markets products, trading documentation, or comparable high-volume contract remediation programmes.
  • Familiarity with documentation such as ISDA, CSA, Novation Agreements, Custody Agreements, Electronic Trading Agreements, Structured Product Distribution Agreements, or similar market documentation.
  • Comfortable reviewing and coordinating redlined documents and summarizing key changes for stakeholders without providing legal advice.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple counterparties, stakeholders, and project workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing management information (MI), project trackers, dashboards, and status reporting.
