A Truly Differentiated Experience As a CAP Associate, you will investigate complex investment questions that require original insight, careful judgment, and the ability to synthesize information across industries, markets and disciplines. The emphasis is on rigorous research: examining industries, assessing long‑term trends, asking thoughtful questions, and developing well‑reasoned perspectives when answers are rarely obvious. You’ll share your own research approach, explore ideas in depth, and produce thoughtful analyses that contribute to Capital Group’s long‑term investment thinking.
These aren’t hypothetical exercises. CAP Associates explore real‑world investment questions and contribute differentiated insights to our investment dialogue.
Lead end‑to‑end investment research projects that reward curiosity, intellectual discipline, and strong communication. You’ll frame questions, conduct deep analysis, develop your perspective, and present well‑supported conclusions to experienced investors.
Strengthen your analytical reasoning, investigative approach, judgment, and communication skills through hands‑on research, close collaboration with investor mentors, and targeted development sessions.
Work closely with analysts and portfolio managers to understand how rigorous inquiry, qualitative and quantitative analyses, and independent thinking contribute to investment decisions.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
