Job summary

Knightsbridge House International School Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Year 1 Teacher (Singapore L2 Qualified) to deliver engaging Cambridge curriculum lessons, manage a Year 1 homeroom and monitor student progress. You will work closely with parents and school stakeholders to support each child's academic, social and emotional development.

Applicants should have a degree in education, a Singapore L2 qualification, First Aid certificate and at least 3 years of experience in early primary

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Singapore L2 Teaching Qualification recognised by EDCA.
• Hold a First Aid Certificate to ensure student safety and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of early primary education, classroom management and age-appropriate teaching practices.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with young children, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Cambridge curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science and etc through engaging, age-appropriate and differentiated lessons for Year 1 students.
• Plan and implement effective lessons that cater to different learning abilities, interests and developmental needs.
• Manage the Year 1 homeroom class by establishing a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students and support their academic, social and emotional development.
• Monitor, assess and document student progress and attainment to inform teaching strategies and learning interventions.
• Provide appropriate support and differentiation for students with varying learning needs.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding student progress, development, behaviour and learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school stakeholders to support students' overall learning and wellbeing.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development and other duties assigned by the school.
• Maintain accurate student records, assessment data and other relevant documentation.
