Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Calibration Technician, responsible for inspecting, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing measuring and test equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and SAC requirements. The Calibration Technician supports the testing laboratory operations by ensuring all equipment or instruments provide accurate measurements to maintain quality and process consistency

Responsibilities

Equipment Calibration

  • Perform calibration of measuring, testing, and monitoring equipment according to established procedures and schedules.
  • Verify instrument accuracy using reference equipment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-calibration checks to ensure equipment performance

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Perform preventive maintenance on calibration and test equipment.
  • Coordinate repairs with vendors or internal operations teams, when required.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate calibration records and reports.
  • Ensure traceability of calibration standards to recognized national or international standards.
  • Update Asset Management Registry and equipment history files.

Inventory and Asset Management

  • Monitor calibration due dates and coordinate calibration schedules.
  • Tag and identify calibrated equipment appropriately.
  • Control out-of-tolerance equipment and coordinate with the Operations team for corrective actions, when necessary.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Diploma with at least 1 year experience in similar role.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in teams and to work under pressure.
