Job summary

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore is seeking a Cashier to support Casino Table Games and Slot Operations. You will manage cash, perform currency exchange, redeem vouchers, and balance the float while delivering courteous, professional service to guests and team members.

No experience is required as training will be provided. You should be comfortable with numeracy, operating electronic cashier equipment, and willing to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and foreign currencies preferred.
• Ability to operate electronic cashier equipment such as note counters and counterfeit detectors.
• Strong numeracy, customer service and communication skills.
• Willing to work varied shifts, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Balance float and settle to the impress amount after each shift.
• Handle cash-in/cash-out of gaming chips and other cashier transactions.
• Process foreign currency exchange and cashier transactions.
• Manage chip transfers and reconciling with casino systems.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to guests and colleagues.
• Adhere to company policies and ethics.

Job Responsibilities

• Being responsible for an impress inventory of cash float
• Perform various financial transactions, in support of the Casino Table Games Operations, Slot Operations and the casino Guests playing in these areas, including:
  1. Cash-in/ Cash-Out gaming chips
  2. Perform foreign currency exchange
  3. Redeem Slot Machine payout tickets/TITO/ vouchers for cash/cash equivalent
  4. Perform patron account transactions (safe keeping/front money deposits & refunds)
  5. Check cashing, check/marker redemptions and consolidations
  6. Perform credit card and EFTPOS cash advances
  7. Perform Rolling Chip Exchanges
  8. Other cashier tasks as required
• At completion of the shift, balance float and bring it back to the impress amount
• Conduct Team Member Bank functions accurately
• Preparation of table fills/ receiving table credits
• Handling chip transfers between front window, fill banks. main banks.
• Balance the inventory of Chip Bank to the casino computer system, account for all chip movements in and out of the Chip Bank
• Maintain accurate and legible balance sheets
• Provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to all internal and external customers.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Company policies and within the realm of the Company's corporate values.

Education & Certification

• Secondary education preferred

• Able to operate electronic cashier equipment (e.g. note counters, counterfeit detectors)
• Able to communicate effectively
• Possess a flair for numericals and excellent service and communication skills
• Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and overnight, as well as on public holidays
