Job summary

CROSSINGS SOCIAL VENTURES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Cafe Service Supervisor to support the Cafe Manager in overseeing day-to-day front-of-house operations and deliver a high level of guest service.

You will supervise service staff, welcome guests, take orders, coordinate with back-of-house, handle admin duties, gather feedback, resolve issues, mentor team including staff from special needs backgrounds, and ensure cleanliness and smooth cafe operations.

Qualifications

• Supervise a team of service staff.
• Welcome and seat guests according to standards.
• Take food and drink orders and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house communication.
• Assist in admin duties including dealing with vendors, rosters, billing and daily reports.
• Gather guest feedback and suggest menu improvements.
• Handle and resolve issues or complaints professionally.
• Support staff including those from special needs backgrounds.
• Brief staff and ensure cleanliness and proper facility function.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front-of-house operations to deliver high service levels.
• Ensure guest seating, ordering, and service flow runs smoothly.
• Maintain communication channels between FOH and BOH.
• AssistCafe Manager with vendor relations, rosters, billing and reports.
• Lead by example, monitor cleanliness and safety in the cafe.

Job description

We are a social enterprise cafe serving quality food at good price.

This position of Cafe Service Supervisor will report to the Cafe Manager. He or She will support the Cafe Manager in overseeing day-to-day front of house operations to deliver a high level of service for our guests.

He or she will be responsible for providing supervision to a team of service staff -

Welcome and settle down guests according to standards.

Taking food and drink order and to provide recommendations where needed.

Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff.

Support Cafe Manager in administrative duties including, dealing with vendors, staff roster, billing, daily report and duty assignments.

Gather guests' feedback and recommend improvements to our menus.

Handle and resolve issues or complaints in a professional manner.

Manage team of staff under supervision, including supporting staff members who are from special needs background.

Conduct briefing and updates to the staff. Carry out regular checks of all areas of the cafe to ensure cleanliness and tidiness at all times and the functionality of all facilities.

To perform any other appropriate duties and responsibility as assigned by the Cafe Manager.
