Job summary

Kemuri Coffee Co. is seeking a reliable Café Cook to support the preparation and service of our café menu in a clean, efficient, and consistent manner. The role focuses on simple, well-executed café dishes and maintaining a well-run kitchen in a busy setting.

You will prepare café-style items, manage mise en place, follow recipes, and ensure hygiene and safety standards. Weekend rosters apply; experience in F&B preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café/restaurant/bakery or similar F&B environment preferred.
• Basic cooking and food preparation skills required.
• Able to work independently in a small kitchen and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook café food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Carry out mise en place and daily food prep.
• Prepare items such as sandwiches, toasties, waffles and other café dishes.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Monitor ingredient levels and rotate stock using FIFO practices.
• Assist with development and testing of new café menu items.
