Job summary

JEP Precision Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a skilled CAD drafter to prepare and update product drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date revisions.

You will interpret engineering drawings, support manufacturing, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to quality improvements while maintaining documents and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in mechanical, precision engineering, drafting, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; UG/NX or similar CAD is a plus.
• Able to interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances and specifications.
• Basic GD&T knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

• Prepare, modify, and update product and component drawings using SolidWorks CAD software.

• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications to support manufacturing requirements.

• Ensure engineering drawings and documentation are accurate, complete, and properly maintained with the latest revisions.

• Work closely with engineers and relevant departments to clarify technical requirements and resolve drawing discrepancies.

• Support manufacturing process improvements, drawing standardization, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with company quality, workplace health, and safety requirements.

• Perform other engineering documentation and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Higher NITEC or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, drafting, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in precision engineering or a manufacturing environment.

• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software; experience with UG/NX or other CAD software will be an advantage.

• Able to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications.

• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and manufacturing processes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Responsible, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
