Job summary

Base Camp Digital in Singapore is seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer (Technical Lead) to drive the design, development, and delivery of customised middleware solutions. You will translate requirements into reliable software, oversee day-to-day development, and ensure seamless integration with other systems.

You will guide junior engineers, maintain coding standards, and ensure high quality, performant software across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on C++
• Experience in middleware development, software integration, or system integration
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++11 or later) and Linux-based development
• Familiarity with Git and software configuration management
• Experience leading or mentoring junior developers is desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, and testing of C++ middleware and interfaces
• Oversee development activities including planning, coordination, and timelines
• Translate requirements into software specifications and development plans
• Design software architecture, data models, protocols, and interfaces
• Develop C++ components for system communication and message processing
• Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and vendors on integration
• Establish and maintain coding standards, reviews, and testing procedures
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Prepare technical documentation including design specs and release notes
• Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Support deployment, integration, commissioning, and post-delivery support
• Identify and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
