Job summary

The Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking a Civil and Structural (C&S) Resident Engineer to support site supervision in Jurong, Singapore. You will monitor contractors’ schedules, supervise construction, maintain quality control and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will review shop drawings, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and report discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or accreditation recognized by PEB Singapore.
• Registered as Resident Engineer with BCA/IES/ACES.
• 10 years of relevant site supervision experience as a resident engineer.
• Relevant marine and infrastructure experience is important.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractors’ schedules, day works, site progress and related activities.
• Supervise construction, maintain quality control and ensure compliance with project specs and procedures.
• Ensure works comply with Building Control Act, Regulations, codes and authorities’ requirements.
• Check shop and construction drawings and report discrepancies with drawings and specs.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Civil and Structural (C&S) Resident Engineer (RE) to support their site supervisory capabilities in Jurong.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor contractors’ schedules, day works, site progress, etc.

• Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, approved sketches, product or system specifications, contractor’s method statements, installation and working procedures,

• Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirements of building authorities and government agencies,

• Check shop and construction drawings, samples, etc. submitted by contractors and their sub-contractors / suppliers / vendors and to report any discrepancies between these and the project drawings and specifications;

Key requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent or accreditation recognized by PEB Singapore;

• Registered as Resident Engineer with BCA/IES/ACES; and

• 10 years of relevant site supervision experience as a resident engineer.
