Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree holder required.
• 3–5 years purchasing experience in contract manufacturing, environment of cable/harness/electromechanical assemblies preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills.
• Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance for strategic decisions.
• Good commercial acumen and understanding of business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure smooth operational flow and timely delivery.

• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers locally and overseas.

• Communicate with cross-departmental stakeholders to align procurement activities.

• Apply appropriate methods to optimize procurement outcomes.
• Own assigned tasks and provide regular data updates to Purchasing Manager.

Job Summary

Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure seamless operations, costefficiency, and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure smooth operational flow and timely delivery
• Drive cost savings by negotiating competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and shortened lead times with suppliers
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for machine components, materials, and procurement products locally and overseas
• Assess supplier capabilities and reliability to ensure quality and delivery standards are met
• Support Engineering Change (EC) processes by ensuring data accuracy and collaborating with suppliers to implement changes effectively
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands without excess stock
• Communicate proactively and clearly with cross-departmental stakeholders to align procurement activities
• Analyze complex data and evaluate variation factors to resolve procurement and supply issues
• Select and apply appropriate methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to optimize procurement outcomes
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and provide regular data analysis and progress updates to the Purchasing Manager
• Prepare weekly purchasing reports detailing procurement activities to improve operational efficiency and support departmental KPIs
• Provide management with reviews and recommendations to enhance purchasing processes and procedures
• Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager

Pre-requisites

• Diploma or Degree holder
• Minimum 3 - 5 year purchasing experience in contract manufacturing industry, with emphasis on environment of cable, harness, and/or electromechanical assemblies which include mechanical, electronic components.
• Proficient in MS Office With strong EXCEL skills.
• Strong negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers.
• Ability to assess market trends and supplier performance to make strategic purchasing decisions.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Good commercial acumen and understanding of the overall business.
