Job summary

Business Times is seeking an ambitious finance internships journalist to support researching, reporting and producing timely news on financial markets, banking, investments and the economy for print and digital platforms.

The intern will gain hands-on experience covering Singapore and global financial developments while learning the fundamentals of business journalism under editorial guidance.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English; strong writing, research and analytical skills.
• Keen interest in finance, investing, economics, banking and capital markets.
• Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and corporate announcements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with spreadsheets, data visualization or financial databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research, gather and verify information on finance, banking, investment, capital markets and economic developments.
