Carousell Group, the leading recommerce platform in Southeast Asia, is building a luxury watches business from day one in Singapore. As a founding member, you will help shape a trusted consignor/buyer model, authentication, and a flagship showroom.

You will source watches from collectors and dealers, price and authenticate items, decide consignment vs purchase, and work with Product and Marketplace teams to create the best high-value watch marketplace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in luxury watch industry, preferably pre-owned/secondary market.
• Hands-on experience buying, selling, pricing and authenticating watches.
• Strong knowledge of Rolex and major brands, with reference values and red flags.
• Connections with collectors, dealers or suppliers in Singapore.
• Good commercial sense for evaluating deals.
• Integrity and discretion with high-value pieces.

• Maintain healthy inventory via pricing, sell-through, margins, and ageing stock.
• Design processes for intake, photography, listings, storage, viewings, fulfilment, and after-sales.
• Assist in setting up the first showroom location and authentication counter.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketplace teams to build watch marketplace.
• Help shape the team as the business grows.

Job Description

Build a luxury watch business from day one

Watches are already one of the biggest high-value categories on Carousell, with a large community of collectors, private sellers and dealers. Now we're going further. We're building a trusted watch business with managed consignment, curated inventory, authentication, trade-ins and our first physical watch space.

We're looking for a watch person who wants to be there from the start. You'll handle real watches, real deals and real customers, and your work will directly shape how the business looks as it grows.

If you've been working in the watch trade and want more ownership, visibility and room to grow than a traditional dealer or boutique can offer, this role is for you.

What you'll do

Be a founding member of Carousell's Luxury Watches business and help take it from launch to scale.

Source great watches by building relationships with collectors, private sellers and dealers across Singapore.

Evaluate, price and authenticate watches, decide whether each piece should be consigned or bought outright, and negotiate the deal.

Sell to discerning clients online, at viewings and in our upcoming showroom.

Keep inventory healthy by tracking pricing, sell-through, margins and ageing stock.

Design how things work, including intake, photography, listings, storage, viewings, fulfilment and after-sales. You'll help write the playbook.

Help set up our first physical watch location, from showroom to buy-in and authentication counter.

Work with our Product and Marketplace teams to make Carousell the best place in Singapore to buy and sell high-value watches.

Help shape the team as the business grows.

Qualifications

What you bring

3+ years in the luxury watch industry, ideally in the pre-owned or secondary market.

Hands‑on experience in buying, selling, pricing and authenticating luxury watches.

Strong knowledge of Rolex and other major brands, including references, market values and common authenticity red flags.

Connections in Singapore's watch scene, such as collectors, dealers or suppliers. This is a strong plus.

Good commercial sense, including knowing when a deal is worth doing.

Integrity and discretion when handling high‑value pieces and private clients.

A self‑starter attitude. You're comfortable figuring things out in a new, fast‑moving business.
