Job Description
As a BI Developer, you will design, build, and support robust business intelligence solutions using Qlik Sense, transforming complex datasets into intuitive and actionable insights. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop scalable data models, and deliver high-performing dashboards and reports that drive decision-making across the organization.
What will you do?
Dashboard Development & Visualization
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Qlik Sense.
- Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure clarity and usability.
- Optimize performance and responsiveness of Qlik applications.
Data Modelling & ETL
- Design and implement efficient data models.
- Build and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis
- Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical BI solutions.
- Conduct data analysis and troubleshoot inconsistencies.
Deployment, Governance & Support
- Support deployment, integration, and documentation of BI solutions.
- Maintain data security, governance, and user access controls.
- Ensure adherence to development standards (modularization, reuse, version control).
Knowledge Sharing & Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to team members.
- Stay updated on Qlik platform enhancements and BI industry trends.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications in Qlik (e.g. Qlik Sense Data Architect / Business Analyst) are advantageous.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in Qlik Sense development (entry-level candidates may also be considered).
- Strong expertise in data modeling, SQL, and relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience in Qlik scripting and set analysis.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development.
- Knowledge of data security and access control within BI environments.
- Familiarity with Qlik deployments and lifecycle management.
- Exposure to other BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of APIs, mashups, and version control tools (e.g. Git).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
