Job summary

Univerz HR Consulting Pte Ltd seeks a proactive professional to drive foam materials business development across Southeast Asia. Focus areas include EVA, PU, TPU and EPP, with emphasis on identifying demand, building partnerships with brands and distributors, and coordinating with R&D for targeted product development.

The role requires strong networking with universities/research institutions, cross-cultural communication, and willingness to travel across the region; Singapore or Japan base

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the foam materials market in Southeast Asia across industries including footwear, packaging, automotive interiors, electronics, sporting goods and building insulation.
• Develop cooperation networks with overseas universities and research institutions for joint R&D and technology transfer.
• Engage with local brands, manufacturers and trading companies to collect market requirements and feedback to R&D.
• Represent the company at overseas industry exhibitions and professional events and organize business visits and customer meetings.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, follow up on orders and project progress, and achieve business development targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the foam materials market in Southeast Asia, identifying customer demand for foam materials such as EVA, PU, TPU and EPP across industries including footwear materials, packaging, automotive interiors, electronics, sporting goods and building insulation, and driving business opportunities through to successful collaboration.
• Develop and expand cooperation networks with overseas universities and research institutions, facilitating joint R&D, technology transfer and collaborative projects.
• Engage with local brands, manufacturers and trading companies to collect market and technical requirements, provide timely feedback to the R&D team, and drive targeted product development.
• Represent the company at overseas industry exhibitions and professional events, as well as organize business visits and customer meetings.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, follow up on orders and project progress, and achieve business development targets.

Requirements

• Relevant business development experience in the foam materials industry. Candidates with business development experience at foam material companies such as JSP, KNK, or companies specializing in EVA, PU or TPU foam materials are preferred.
• Strong network withresearch institutions and universities, with experience in facilitating industry-academia-researchcollaboration projects preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Southeast Asian market, with existing local customer or channel networks preferred.
• Candidates who are based in Singapore or Japan, or candidates currently based in China who are able to accommodate business travel across Southeast Asia.
• Diploma or above, with a background in Polymer Materials, Chemical Engineering, Marketing or other relevant disciplines preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, cross-cultural communication capabilities, and a results-oriented mindset.
