Job summary

This hands-on, outbound-focused role suits a self-motivated sales professional who can build relationships from scratch and hit targets.

You will identify prospects, manage a pipeline, conduct outbound calls and visits, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transactions while upholding compliance and service

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition.
• Experience in precious metals, commodities, jewellery trade, pawnbroking, or a related industry is a strong advantage.
• Self-starter with a hunter mentality and ability to build a customer base from scratch.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to engage a wide range of customers.
• Organised, reliable and able to handle operational responsibilities with care.

Responsibilities

ValueMax is Singapore's leading mainboard-listed pawnbroking and financial services group, with a dedicated Precious Metals division operating at a commercial, bulk-trading scale. We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive to grow our customer base and expand our gold and precious metals acquisition network. This is a hands-on, outbound-focused role suited to a self-motivated sales professional who is comfortable hitting the ground running and building relationships from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Proactively identify and reach out to potential customers — including businesses, jewellers, and individuals — who may be interested in selling gold and precious metals in bulk
• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of new and recurring customers
• Conduct outbound sales calls, visits, and follow-ups to grow the department's customer base
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals

Account Management

• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing customers
• Provide timely market updates and pricing guidance to customers
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase transaction volume

Operations & Logistics

• Travel to customer locations to collect, transport, and deliver precious metals using a company vehicle
• Ensure accurate handling, documentation, and chain-of-custody compliance for all goods in transit
• Support day-to-day operational duties within the Precious Metals department at HQ as required
• Coordinate with internal teams on pricing, transactions, and stock management

What We're Looking For
