OCBC invites a seasoned Business Analyst/Solution Manager to join its Wealth Platform initiatives in Singapore. You will partner across banks and business units to drive strategic transformations, translating complex requirements into practical IT solutions.

The role demands deep wealth management knowledge, robust analytical skills, and strong stakeholder management to deliver end-to-end outcomes in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Solution Manager in private banks or wealth management firms.
• Strong knowledge of investment/wealth management products and related regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into practical IT solutions and document requirements clearly.

• Design IT functional solutions for business initiatives with end-to-end thinking.
• Gather and document detailed business requirements with stakeholders across regions.
• Act as SME for responsible domains and lead process analysis to identify improvements via digitalization.

How you succeed

You succeed by combining deep wealth management expertise with strong analytical, solutioning and stakeholder management skills. You will translate complex business needs into practical technology solutions, collaborate effectively across business and technology teams, and balance business priorities, regulatory requirements and system constraints. Your ability to influence stakeholders and drive clarity will be key to delivering successful outcomes.

What you do

• Solution Design: Design IT functional solutions for business initiatives or projects. Construct the desired solutions by considering the concept of end-to-end, reusability, high availability, forward looking and lasting value.
• Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders across various departments across the region to gather and document detailed business requirements
• Subject Matter Expert of responsible functional domains
• Process Analysis and Optimization: Analyze existing operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement through digitalization.
• Explore new ideas/new tools to address the key EPICs and perform first level functional validation of new ideas/new tools.
• Provide directions and clarifications to project team during the development phase of the project to any queries pertaining to the FSD or BRD. Where necessary, re-engage business SMEs to revise requirements and/or for the acceptance of alternative solutions, due to design or implementation constraints encountered.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to define the test strategy and approach and provide clarifications to queries during the testing phase, to both the Quality Assurance team and Business Testers during UAT.

Who you are

• At least 12 years of relevant working experience as a Business Analyst or Solution Manager in Private banks, Investment banks, Asset Management Firms or relevant financial institutions. Have a broad understanding of the wealth management industrial trend and practices.
• Excellent front-to-back knowledge of Investment products and/or wealth management products
• Good understanding of the regulatory requirement and business rules in wealth management domains.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in the documentation of use cases, visual modeling, business processes, in the business requirements document and functional specifications document.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, with strong ability to manage and align expectations of senior level business stakeholders across different business units to accept solutions proposed by project team.
• Good knowledge of system engineering concepts, data and information structures in an IT system environment including that of data modeling and database design appreciation.
• Competent in IT solutioning processes such as effort estimation, vendor management negotiation
• Degree in computer science, software engineering and/or investment discipline preferred.
