Job summary

A leading bank in Singapore is hiring a hands-on Business Analyst / UAT Lead to transform business needs into clear requirements and user stories for regional digital banking projects.

You will work with design, product and technology teams on customer journeys and lead UAT across markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia and China. Strong documentation, communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Hands-on experience writing business requirements and user stories.
• Experience in UAT, test planning and test execution.
• Familiar with JIRA, Confluence and Agile ways of working.

Location: Marina Bay, Singapore

Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable/convertible, subject to performance and headcount)

Salary Range: $5,100 to $6,100 per month

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, office hours

About the Role

A leading bank in Singapore is looking for a Business Analyst / UAT Lead to join its regional Consumer and Wealth digital banking delivery team. You'll turn business needs into clear requirements and user stories, work with design, product and technology teams on customer journeys, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for digital banking projects across markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia and China. This role suits a hands-on Business Analyst with strong UAT and documentation skills who wants to grow into delivery leadership in a regional banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write business requirement documents and user stories, and work with design and product teams on user flows, customer journeys and screen designs.
• Review functional specifications with technology teams to make sure they meet business requirements.
• Lead the UAT test strategy, including test plans, test cases and execution, so testing is completed end to end within the UAT schedule.
• Guide and coordinate a small team of test analysts on their assigned tasks.
• Prepare project documentation such as test strategies and traceability matrices, using JIRA and Confluence.
• Support both manual and automated testing cycles.
• Work with business, product, operations and technology partners across countries to deliver projects and identify enhancements.
• Support go-live activities, including live business verification during deployments.
• Handle post-implementation tasks such as user training, production issue investigation, escalation and follow-up until resolution.
• Keep up with trends in digital banking and project delivery, and share best practices with the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Application Analyst or in a similar role
• Hands-on experience writing business requirements, functional specifications and user stories
• Experience preparing test scenarios and test cases, and running UAT, integration or system testing
• Familiar with JIRA, Confluence and Agile ways of working
• Good IT and digital background, with an understanding of different technologies and processes
• Experience in consumer banking, digital banking or financial services is an advantage
• Exposure to test automation tools (such as JBehave), data analytics or process automation tools is a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Meticulous, systematic and able to meet tight delivery timelines
• Self-starter who works well independently and in a team
