Job summary

World Fuel is seeking a Bunker Trader – Marine Fuel in Singapore. You will manage fuel purchases, coordinate transactions, and build strong customer relationships in a fast-paced trading environment.

Candidates should have 3+ years in commodity sales/trading; exposure to marine fuel or bunkering is preferred. Korean language proficiency is required for regular interactions with Korean-speaking customers, with additional languages a plus.

• Exposure to marine fuel, bunkering, or energy/commodities markets preferred.
• Understanding of commodity market dynamics and pricing fundamentals.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data.
• Resilient, driven, and proactive mindset with a strong desire to develop new business.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Language requirement: Korean, written and spoken.
• Additional languages such as Chinese or Japanese are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer credit exposure and collaborate with credit teams to manage risk
• Assist with operational and logistical support including supplier coordination, delivery, and claims resolution
• Ensure a high standard of customer service and responsiveness in a competitive market

What You Will Do

• Manage fuel purchase requirements from existing customers and act as a key point of contact for transactions

What We’re Looking For

• Approximately 3+ years of experience in commodity sales, trading, or a related commercial environment
• Exposure to marine fuel, bunkering, or broader energy/commodities markets is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of commodity market dynamics and pricing fundamentals
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data
• Resilient, driven, and proactive mindset with a strong desire to develop new business
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Language Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively in Korean, both written and spoken, is required for this role due to regular interaction with Korean-speaking customers and stakeholders
• Additional language skills such as Chinese or Japanese are an advantage
