Job summary

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Singapore) PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced kitchen cook to prepare and cook dishes in bulk for multiple outlets, emphasizing consistency, efficiency, and strict adherence to food safety in a high-volume production environment.

You will work with fellow cooks and kitchen staff, handle long shifts, and contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and kitchen operations in a fast-paced setup.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced kitchen, catering, or central kitchen environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and strong awareness of food hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding work conditions (e.g., long standing hours, hot/cold temperatures).

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and bulk cooking following SOPs and recipes to ensure consistency.
• Monitor freshness and quality to meet company standards for presentation and portioning.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
• Safely operate commercial kitchen equipment and machinery.
• Assist with inventory management: stock levels, deliveries, storage, labeling, rotation.
• Collaborate with cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and dispatch.
• Support recipe development and new menu trials as needed.
