Job summary

UES HOLDINGS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a mid‑level Electrical/Building Services engineer to review designs, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and oversee shop drawings, procurement, and risk assessments for complex projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of construction experience, with proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D and strong English communication. Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines is expected.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Building Services, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience, preferably on water, wastewater, or WTE projects.
• Familiarity with Singapore codes and standards; experience with design tools is advantageous.
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D and related software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong coordination and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and interface requirements to support installation.
• Coordinate with SO, OE, consultants, QP, LEW, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, risk assessments, and RFIs/RFAs.
• Coordinate electrical and ELV routing, equipment locations, and site installation details.
• Monitor material submissions, procurement, and progress to ensure compliance with drawings and safety requirements.
• Plan testing and commissioning for BS electrical and ELV activities; address issues promptly.

Job Description

• Review design drawings, SLDs, schematic drawings, layout drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and interface requirements.
• Coordinate with SO, OE, consultants, QP, LEW, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Prepare, review, and follow up shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, risk assessments, RFAs RFIs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate electrical and ELV routing, containment, equipment locations, access space, ceiling space, risers, plantrooms, and site installation details.
• Review and follow up material submissions and procurement for cables, cable trays, trunking, conduits, DBs, switches, socket outlets, isolators, lighting fixtures, ELV devices, fibre optic cables,Cat6/Cat6A cables, racks, panels, and accessories.
• Monitor site readiness and installation progress to ensure works comply with approved drawings, approved materials, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower, progress, workfront availability, and daily site issues.
• Coordinate with other trades to avoid clashes, rework, and installation delays.
• Ensure proper cable segregation between power, ELV,control, communication, data, fire alarm, and BMS cabling.
• Prepare and coordinate inspection requests and conductinternal checks before offering works for SO/OE inspection.
• Follow up and close inspection comments, defects, site issues, and non-conformance items.
• Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning related to BS electrical and ELV activities.
• Highlight technical issues, material delays, manpower shortages, site constraints, and schedule risks to the Building Services Lead /Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with preference given to candidates who have worked on water, wastewater, or Waste-to-Energy (WTE)projects under a main contractor.
• Familiar with code of practice and standards in Singapore
• Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred & in other related design software/applications.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to take on responsibility and work overtime to meet deadlines.
• Experience in Project Execution, Supervising and Coordination with sub-contractors, consultant and Client.
