Job summary

LEW SUN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced painter to prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints, and finish surfaces with varnishes according to specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, on-site setup, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate has proven painting experience, knowledge of materials and techniques, and the ability to work with brushes, caulking guns, and other tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter.
• Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix and apply them.
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
• Manual dexterity with balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sand paper, removing old paint etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Apply varnish and other finishes.
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.

• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sand paper, removing old paint etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

Requirements

• Must be work after regular schedule.
• Must be work Sat/Sun/Public holiday (if needed)
• Must be work at any shift (Night/Day)
• Proven experience as a painter
