Job summary

SMM PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable Building Executive to supervise contractors and oversee maintenance projects across commercial, institutional, or public facilities.

You will coordinate A&A/renovation works, inspect works for quality and safety, and ensure compliance with BMSMA and WSH regulations. The role requires hands-on experience managing contractors, strong knowledge of M&E systems, and excellent communication with clients, consultants and authorities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Building, Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related.
• 3+ years in Building Executive; 5+ years for Senior Building Executive.
• Hands-on with contractor management, A&A/renovation works.
• Knowledge of M&E systems and regulatory maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with BMSMA and WSH regulations is a plus.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor contractors to meet contractual requirements and safety standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee building maintenance including A&A/renovation projects.
• Source quotations, evaluate proposals, and coordinate rectification with contractors.
• Inspect works to ensure compliance with specs, quality, and schedules.
• Conduct daily inspections of facilities and M&E systems for reliability and safety.
• Identify defects, coordinate rectifications, and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities on project matters.
• Ensure compliance with WSH, Fire Safety, and statutory regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders.
