Job summary

GUNUNG CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a responsible Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator to support the POB project on site.

You will assist the Project Manager and team in implementing safety requirements and promoting a strong safety culture across the construction site. You will prepare RA and SWP, conduct inspections, lead toolbox talks and safety trainings, and ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations.

Qualifications

Must have a recognised WSH Coordinator certification.
Experience in the Singapore construction industry is preferred.
Independently prepare RA and SWP based on site activities.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review and update RA, SWP and WSH docs for activities.
Communicate RA and SWP requirements to workers on site.
Conduct site safety inspections to ensure compliance with RA, SWP and WSH laws.
Identify unsafe acts/conditions and follow up with the team for corrective actions.
Assist in implementing and maintaining the WSH Management System and site procedures.
Be familiar with Singapore WSH legislation, regs, codes of practice and safety requirements.
Coordinate toolbox talks, safety inductions, briefings, training and WSH meetings.
Organise safety promotion programmes and awareness activities.
Maintain safety records, inspection reports and training records.
Assist in incident/near-miss reporting, investigation and preventive actions.
Liaise daily with Project Manager, engineers and subcontractors on WSH matters.
Monitor subcontractors' compliance with safety requirements.
Support WSH for higher-risk activities like lifting, work at height, excavation, and temporary works.
